What a busy week we had! Ella celebrated her birthday one day early so it wouldn't be lost on Halloween!  And Hawaii Day was great!

Happy Halloween!!  Trick or Treat and be safe!  What a fun day and what great kids!  They truly earned their fun afternoon!  Remember to send any leftover candy on Monday or Tuesday!

Ghost dust on Elise!

We've had a great start to Red Ribbon Week at Falcon Ridge!
Monday we "Teamed up against Drugs" and today we "Put a cap on Drugs!"

We FINALLY made our first trip across the street to Mala Strana today!  We met with Mr. Korbel who shared all the things we need to know to make each visit a great one.  We walked around and saw a bird café, the main dining room, a hair salon, a great room for big gatherings and Mrs. McNab's mom finally got to see her daughters best friends! She is in the memory care unit, with others that have similar needs.  Her words in her head are clear but come out jumbled at times.  But, when I asked her what she thought of my little friends, she said she thought they looked great!  :)

We met up with everyone that goes to FR Elem. for an All School Meeting!  We talked about Trojan Tickets, expected lunchroom behavior and we met the 5th Graders chosen for Student Council.

We've been making awesome progress on IXL!  Awesome job 1st graders!

We worked hard at Telling Sentences today!  We wrote down 2 thoughts to tell someone something we wanted to share and then we illustrated the idea!

Today we added our final piece to our Daily 5 jobs...listening to reading.  We logged onto Tumblebooks and listened to great readers. We noticed that the readers were very smooth readers and that they used awesome expression when they read.  Hopefully we can start to hear some of that from our class too!

Jeanine from Child Life came to visit today to share about what Braden endures on his hospital visits and what he has all been through!  Hard to not get teary eyed at the story and at the strength he has.  He earns beads for many different hard tasks he has to do.  We are in the midst of one amazing little boy.  :)  Jeanine's friend Gus came along too!

Braden wrote us a very nice note to thank everyone that was able to donate to "Braden's Bin!"

Never fun to be away from my kids...Always fun to get a great report from our guest teacher!

What a great day with lots of sunshine and awesome, very interested kids!  Both stops on our trip were fabulous!!  The kids were excellent representatives from Falcon Ridge!
